About

I am a painter living and working in Fayetteville, Arkansas, though I originally grew up in Tacoma, Washington.

I seek to make paintings which approach my surroundings with a poetic sensibility, negotiate a daily sense of distance and dislocation, and draw close to my subject matter through tactile material. I want to share with the viewer my own sensory and emotional experience of my environment, atmospheres which can be joyful, overwhelming, frantic, peaceful, dislocating, or some combination of these all at once.
